NLC India Apprentice Recruitment 2025 . NLC India Limited has officially invited applications for its 2025–26 Apprenticeship training program, offering 575 vacancies for Graduate and Technician (Diploma) Apprentices. This recruitment is a strategic opportunity for fresh engineering graduates and diploma holders from the southern region of India to gain professional experience within a prestigious Navratna Public Sector Undertaking. The positions are primarily based at the Neyveli units in Tamil Nadu, and the training period is set for one year as per the Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973.
The eligibility criteria for these roles are clearly defined to ensure the intake of recent graduates. Specifically, candidates must have completed their full-time Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Technology during the years 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025. This ensures that the program supports current freshers in entering the workforce. Furthermore, the recruitment is residency-specific, requiring applicants to be domiciled in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, or the Union Territory of Puducherry. Applicants must also ensure they have not previously undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training in any other organization.
Selected apprentices will receive a fixed monthly stipend designed to support them during their training tenure. Graduate Apprentices are eligible for a monthly stipend of ₹15,028, while Technician Apprentices will receive ₹12,524. A portion of this stipend is disbursed directly by the Government of India through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme, making it mandatory for candidates to have an Aadhaar-seeded bank account. Beyond the financial support, the training covers various technical disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation, Chemical, and Computer Science Engineering, along with specialized categories like Pharmacy and Catering Technology.
The selection process is entirely merit-based, relying on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying degree or diploma examinations. In instances where a tie occurs at the cut-off level, preference is typically given to the older candidate based on their date of birth. Following the initial shortlisting, candidates will be called for certificate verification, tentatively scheduled for late January 2026. The final steps include a medical fitness examination to ensure candidates meet the physical standards required for industrial training.
To apply, interested students must first register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal before submitting their application on the official NLC India website. The online application window remains open from 19 December 2025 to 2 January 2026. It is critical to note that after the online submission, a signed hard copy of the application along with self-attested documents must be sent by post to the General Manager, Learning & Development Centre in Neyveli by 9 January 2026. This two-step process is mandatory for the application to be considered valid.
