BHU has announced new vacancies for teaching posts in its schools. These posts include Principal, PGT, TGT, and PRT. The university will offer monthly salaries up to 78800 rupees based on the post. This is a good chance for candidates who want to work in the school teaching sector. Online applications are open and the last date to apply is 5 January 2026. Candidates must also send the hard copy of their filled form by 10 January 2026.

BHU School Teaching Vacancy 2025, Total Posts

BHU has released 55 teaching posts. These include 3 posts for Principal, 9 posts for PGT, 36 posts for TGT, and 7 posts for PRT. Candidates from different teaching levels can apply. The vacancies offer opportunities for those who want to teach primary classes as well as higher secondary classes.

Eligibility and Criteria 

The eligibility rules are different for each post.

For Principal, you need a master’s degree with at least 50 percent marks. You also need a B.Ed and experience as a Principal, Vice Principal, or PGT in a recognized school.

For PGT, you must have a master’s degree in the related subject with a minimum of 50 percent marks. You can also apply if you have completed an integrated M.Sc course from an NCERT Regional College along with a B.Ed.

For TGT, you need graduation in the related subject with 50 percent marks. You can also qualify with a four year integrated course and B.Ed. You must also pass CTET. Without CTET, you cannot apply for TGT.

For PRT, you need 50 percent marks in class 12. You also need D.El.Ed, B.El.Ed, or a diploma in special education. CTET is also required for PRT. Candidates without CTET cannot apply for PRT.

The age limit varies by post. For Principal, the age range is 35 to 55 years. For PGT, the maximum age is 40 years. For TGT, the maximum age is 35 years. For PRT, the maximum age is 30 years. Candidates from SC, ST, OBC, Divyang, and Ex Servicemen categories will receive age relaxation as per government rules.

Selection Process

The university will check your application and qualification first. If required, a written exam will take place. The syllabus will be announced later. After this, shortlisted candidates will appear for a presentation and interview. Document verification will be the last step. Only after successful verification will the appointment letter be issued.

Salary and Allowances

The salary will follow the 7th Pay Commission structure.

Principal will receive a basic pay of 78800 rupees in Level 12.
PGT will receive a basic pay of 47600 rupees in Level 8.
TGT will receive a basic pay of 44900 rupees in Level 7.
PRT will receive a basic pay of 35400 rupees in Level 6.

Apart from basic pay, selected candidates will also receive allowances such as DA, HRA, medical benefits, and fee concessions for children based on BHU rules.

Visit the BHU official recruitment website bhu.ac.in/rac.
Complete the new registration process.
Use the username and password to log in.
Fill out the application form with all required details.
Upload your photo, signature, and scanned certificates.
Candidates from General, EWS, and OBC categories must pay the application fee online.
SC, ST, Divyang, and women candidates will receive fee relaxation.
Submit the final form and take a printout.

Prepare a set of self attested documents. Put them in an envelope and send the package by speed post or registered post to this address:
